Terms & Policies

1. Appointments & Scheduling

Booking: Appointments may be scheduled through our online form, by email, or in some cases, directly with Sarah or her assistant. All services require an initial intake form to determine availability and fit.

Confirmation: Your session is considered confirmed only after payment is received. Invoices will be sent by email with multiple payment options.

Availability: Sarah’s schedule is limited and fills quickly. Priority is given to existing clients or those booking packages.

2. Communication

Ongoing Support: Clients actively enrolled in a package or scheduled for multiple sessions may reach out between lessons for brief text support related to their training.

Phone Time: If phone communication exceeds 10 minutes, it may be billed in 15-minute increments at Sarah’s discretion.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Notice Required: Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Late Cancellations: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a charge for the full session fee.

No-Shows: Missed sessions without notice will be billed in full.

4. Lesson Packages

Expiration: All package sessions must be used within 6 months of purchase. Unused sessions do not roll over or transfer to other clients.

Scheduling: Clients are encouraged to schedule their package sessions in advance to ensure availability.

5. Health & Safety

Wellness Policy: If anyone in your household is experiencing illness or symptoms of sickness, please notify Sarah in advance of your scheduled visit.

Behavior Concerns: Please inform us of any safety concerns, including aggressive behavior, fearfulness, or prior bite history.

6. Travel & Location-Based Pricing

Distance Tiers: In-person session rates are based on travel time from Sarah’s office in Katonah, NY. You will be notified of your applicable tier and rate after submitting your intake form.

Discounted Option: Clients may opt to travel to Sarah’s location for a discounted rate. Virtual sessions are also available.

7. Arrival Window

Due to traffic and variable session lengths, Sarah may arrive up to 15–30 minutes after the scheduled start time. Clients scheduled later in the day should allow for this buffer. If a delay occurs, you will be notified 1–3 hours in advance.

8. Payment

Invoices: Once your session or package is confirmed, an invoice will be sent by email.

Payment Methods: Payment can be made via the invoice link, Zelle, Venmo, cash, or check. Sessions must be paid in advance to hold your appointment.

9. Media Consent

Clients may be asked to consent to the use of photos or videos of their dog for educational purposes. This includes use on social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and on Sarah’s website. Consent is optional and can be declined.

10. Liability & Emergency Policy

Responsibility: Clients are expected to maintain a safe training environment during in-home or public sessions. Sarah will always prioritize safety but is not liable for accidents caused by lack of secure handling or prior unreported behavioral history.

Emergency Care: In rare cases where veterinary or urgent care is needed during a session, the client will be contacted immediately and is responsible for any associated costs.

11. Changes to Policies

These policies may be updated at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes via email or notice on our website.
